Standard London Underground Track

Standard London Underground track as seen at Surrey Quays (East London Line). Of course, this station is now closed as part of the takeover of the line by "Overground". Nevertheless, the running rails shown here are the standard LU bullhead rail which, although replaced in most areas by flat bottomed rail on the rest of railways in the UK, remains common around the Underground. The current rails can be seen as the two larger rails in the set of four. The negative rail is in the centre and the positive is outside the running rails.
